Mr. Green serves as President, TriSummit Utilities Inc., with responsibility for ENSTAR Natural Gas, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd., Apex Utilities Inc., and Eastward Energy Inc., Bear Mountain Wind Park, North West Hydro, and interest in Inuvik Gas Ltd. From 2014 to 2017, he was President of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company and President of Cook Inlet Natural Gas Storage, AltaGas Ltd.’s Alaska utility and natural gas storage businesses. During his tenure Mr. Green was responsible for the financial performance, operations, construction, regulatory strategy and execution, state government relations and business development. Mr. Green joined AltaGas in 2004, serving in progressively more senior roles in the organization until assuming the role of President, Canadian Utilities, including Director of Business Development, Controller, Vice President Controller and Corporate Secretary of AltaGas Utility Group Inc., a public company, and Vice President Controller, Utilities Division, and Vice President, Controller of AltaGas Ltd. Mr. Green is a member of the board of directors for the Western Energy Institute, serving on the Executive Committee and the Audit Committee.

Mr. Green holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Mr. Toivanen is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Toivanen was previously a director of AltaGas Canada Inc. From 2017 to 2018, Mr. Toivanen served as AltaGas Ltd.’s Vice President and Controller, responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of AltaGas Ltd., including the delivery of comprehensive financial reporting, and ensuring a strong system of internal controls. From 2011 to 2017, Mr. Toivanen served as the Vice President and Treasurer of AltaGas Ltd., responsible for directing corporate finance and capital markets activities, such as debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions related financing, cash management and risk management. During his tenure, Mr. Toivanen was also responsible at times for AltaGas Ltd.’s budget and planning, investor relations, commodity risk management and credit management functions. Mr. Toivanen served in various positions of increasing responsibility within the financial field, including Corporate Development, since joining AltaGas Ltd. in 2006. Mr. Toivanen holds a Bachelor of Management (Great Distinction) from the University of Lethbridge. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Ms. Rawcliffe is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining TriSummit in 2021, Ms. Rawcliffe was Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Pembina Pipeline Corporation, where she held progressively senior roles from 2013 until 2021. Prior to joining Pembina, Ms. Rawcliffe worked in the securities and corporate finance team of a national law firm.

Ms. Rawcliffe has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta. She was admitted to the Alberta bar in 2005.

Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development

Ms. Cantwell is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Prior to joining TriSummit Utilities Inc. in 2020, Ms. Cantwell was Vice President of Business Development with Emera Inc. from 2015-2020. From 1999 to 2015, Ms. Cantwell held increasingly senior roles with Emera including Director of Renewable Energy and Senior Director of Strategy and Planning. Prior to joining Emera in 1999, Ms. Cantwell worked for CentralPower Ltd, an electric utility in New Zealand and British Gas plc in Edinburgh, Scotland. During Ms. Cantwell’s 25 year career in the energy industry she has had the opportunity to build experience across the sector including integrated resource planning, regulatory affairs, renewable development, strategy, market intelligence, decision analysis and business development.

Ms. Cantwell has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from St. Francis Xavier University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University.

Ms. Shoji-Lee is the Executive Vice President Utility Operations. Ms. Shoji-Lee was the President of Pacific Northern Gas (PNG) from 2016 to 2023. Ms. Shoji-Lee has gained experience in both the natural gas and electric utility sectors in British Columbia and Ontario. From 2014 to 2016, she was Vice-President, Manufacturing and Shares Services for Britco LP and from 2011 to 2013, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Utility Construction Corporation. Prior thereto, Ms. Shoji-Lee was Senior Vice-President, Field Operations at BC Hydro from 2008 to 2010. From 1989 to 2008, she held various senior leadership roles at Union Gas Limited, including Vice President Operations and Vice President Engineering, Construction, Storage and Transmission Operations.

Ms. Shoji-Lee’s extensive responsibilities have included leading utility operations, engineering, construction, environment, health and safety, as well as shared services including procurement, supply chain, human resources, communications, business development, marketing and information technology.

Ms. Shoji-Lee has a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Ms. Shoji-Lee is the past-Chair of the Board of the Canadian Gas Association and currently serves as the Chair of the organizing committee for IGRC2024 (IGU Research Conference) to be held in Banff, Alberta in May 2024.

 John Hawkins

President, Eastward Energy Incorporated

Mr. Hawkins was appointed President of Eastward Energy Incorporated on June 6, 2017. Prior thereto he held the position of Vice President Engineering, Construction and Operations at Eastward Energy from 2014 to 2017. Prior to joining Eastward Energy, Mr. Hawkins held a variety of positions at Nova Scotia Power Inc. from 2000 to 2014. Mr. Hawkins has 18 years of experience in the energy business. His varied background includes having responsibility for fuel procurement, power and gas trading, and scheduling and dispatch of a provincial generating fleet. He also has managed power plants, hydro-electric systems and electrical transmission and distribution business units. Mr. Hawkins has also held a variety of senior management roles in the pulp and paper industry. Mr. Hawkins is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now the Sexton Campus of Dalhousie University) and currently serves on the board of directors of the Canadian Gas Association.

 

 Graeme Feltham

President Apex Utilities Inc.

Mr. Feltham began his role as the President of Apex Utilities Inc. in 2020 bringing over 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry. Prior to joining Apex Utilities Inc. Mr. Feltham held various executive positions with ATCO Gas & Pipelines, including Vice President of Prairie Peaks Operations, Vice President of Calgary Operations, Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Engineering & Construction. In his most recent role as Vice President of Customer Experience and Innovation, Mr. Feltham led a team driving initiatives in Renewable Natural Gas, hydrogen blending and other decarbonization projects. He is currently on the Canadian Gas Association Board of Directors and is past chair of the Canadian Standards Association’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry Systems Strategic Steering Committee, Executive Board member of Pipeline Research Council International, and member of Canadian Energy Pipeline Association Executive Business Environment Standing Committee.

Mr. Feltham holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Alberta. He has also completed the Ivey Executive Program and is a Professional Engineer.

 

 Gord Doyle

President Pacific Northern Gas

Mr. Doyle was appointed President of Pacific Northern Gas in March 2023. Mr. Doyle joined PNG in 2020 as the Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Legal and Gas Supply. In his prior role, Mr. Doyle was responsible for regulatory strategy and PNG’s regulatory filings, overseeing the legal function and ensuring that the company had sufficient supply to meet customer demand. In his role as President, Mr. Doyle is leading PNG’s natural gas and propane business operations, and the company’s strategic direction, to deliver energy safely and reliably to residential and business customers across northern British Columbia. Mr. Doyle brings over 20 years of experience in British Columbia’s gas and electric utility sectors. His experience includes progressive positions in the areas of Gas Supply, Business Development, Regulatory and Customer Service at FortisBC from 2001 to 2009, and BC Hydro from 2009 to 2020. Mr. Doyle has a Master of Business Administration from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. He serves on the CGA Board of Directors.

President ENSTAR Natural Gas Company and CINGSA

Mr. Sims was promoted to President of ENSTAR Natural Gas Company and CINGSA on September 1, 2017, and is the first Alaskan to be named president in the company’s 60+ year history. Prior thereto, he held the position of Vice President of Corporate Resources and Business Development. In his 17-year history of working at ENSTAR, he has held a variety of leadership roles in business development, customer service, and human resources.

Born and raised in Alaska, Mr. Sims graduated from Chugiak High School in 1996 and Hillsdale College in Michigan in 2001. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Alaska-Anchorage in 2009.

Mr. Sims currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce and other various for-profit and non-profit organization boards. In 2013, he was recognized by the Alaska Journal of Commerce as being one of the Top 40 Under 40 in the State of Alaska.
